North American oak on our section.

This is probably a pin oak or a scarlet oak. We like it. However, one 'feature' it has is that in fall only about 1/3rd of its leaves autumn - or should I say that in autumn only 1/3rd of its leaves fall? Don't know. It has a LOT of leaves. Those which drop off only later, do so in spring. So we have the delight of a twice-yearly autumn leaf-cleanup. This photo was taken about mid-August, and many leaves have still to decorate our lawn.
