Gas Engine House

This is the crumbling remains of the Gas Engine House that contained a number of large internal-combustion engines that provided power to the mill. They replaced the steam boilers that were originally the plant's power source. The plant closed in 1936, then reopened a few years later, but finally closed for good in the early 1980's. All that's left are the crumbling remains of the foundations of the various buildings. Olympus E-M5, Panasonic 20/1.7 Photos stitched in Hugin
