Fox River Aqueduct

Repaired and rebuilt over the years, the Fox River Aqueduct once carried the I&M Canal over the Fox River. Aqueducts are an odd thing, if you think about it. It's a river bridge for another river... The main trough, originally wood, is now steel and is also completely dry. The towpath had been, at one time, an interurban line and is now a hiking/bike path. Olympus E-1, Zuiko 14-54mm
