Eric Lowen

Our dear friend, the late Eric Lowen. As half of the folk duo Lowen & Navarro, he was a legend in the folk/Americana music world. Eric passed away from ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) in 2011 after fighting it every step of the way for 7 years. He was forced to retire from performing in 2009. This shot is from an earlier show. The ALS had already taken a toll - he had to remain seated during the show, and had to give up the mandolin because ALS had robbed him of the finer motor skills that instrument requires.
