I followed Moose's recommendation to get a Fotasy adapter because he had found that it was the only one which gave focus to infinity. Two others I bought do not manage this. An extensive search on the internet showed that Amazon are the only company in the world which sells these and does actually have them in stock. Read the fine print of this screen scrape of the Amazon sales page when I tried to complete the order . ... Fortunately, an old University classmate who lives in Vermont has agreed to buy one for me and post it on to NZ. Zuiko 50/3.5 macro, f/16, ISO 100. Handheld. lightly blustery wind conditions. Cropped, sharpened USM20 with FastStone image viewer, but otherwise not messed about with. This winter hill-country landscape is one I took 2 days ago. Camera was the Sony A7, and the lens was the OM Zuiko 50/1.8 lens "Made in Japan" model. As far as I recall the aperture was wide open at f/1.8. Image reduced in width from 6,000 to 2,000 using FastStone Image Viewer and sharpened USM20. I'm pretty pleased with the result.
