Alex Ligertwood

Alex was the lead vocalist and songwriter with Santana for most of the 1979-1994 era. It's his voice on hits such as "All I Ever Wanted", "Winning" and "Hold On". Alex was at Jim Peterik's studio to add vocals to two songs on Jim's second Lifeforce album, a contemporary jazz effort that was quite a bit different from his classic rock background. Alex has long been one of my favorite rock vocalists, and it was a thrill to meet him. Turns out he's a really great guy as well. Olympus E-1, ZD 14-54
