Slag Car

Dean's layout is based around Northern Indiana, and includes the steel mills along the lakefront in our region. This shot shows a slag car at one of the filling spouts. The blast furnace would open and the slag, or non-steel waste materials, would pour out and travel down the troughs and then into the slag cars. Olympus E-M5, DZ 14-54mm
