First Christian Roof Detail

First Christian Church of Phoenix, Arizona has an interesting history. Frank Lloyd Wright had designed a university for Southwest Christian Seminary in 1949, but the university was never built. The plans remained unused until after Wright's death in 1959. First Christian knew of the plans, which included a chapel, so they asked Wright's widow Olgivanna for permission to use them to build the new church.
