The E-1 records photography of crustose lichens on rocks, by E-3 and Panagor 50/2.8 lens at f/22. This lens is by no means at full extension here; it will do something like 2x life-size on film and the front of the lens barrel is then nearly touching the subject. The front lens element is set very deeply inside the barrel.
