Demolition equipment has been tearing away at the old hospital and it's slowly but surely coming down. There's been a hospital on that spot since 1939, but with the opening of the new facility North of town, this land is about to be turned over to Valparaiso University, my alma mater, who owns land adjacent to the South and East of PMH.
