Leaves of black poplar. European hawthorn, (Crataegus monogyna?). A colorful horticultural maple, young garden plant, before the weather went pear-shaped. New lens for me. One view of a local golf-course, 300m from my home. This shot is illustrative only. Also shot with Obsession 6 x 17.

There are / were several magnificent old female black poplars in Christchurch. Thinking that they might be removed after the earthquakes I took some cutting material and planted it here. Two years later, they have reached 6 feet in height.!
