George Klein & Big Jim McKay

George "GK" Klein, left, is a Memphis broadcasting legend. He was also a longtime friend of Elvis Presley's, having met him when they were both in 8th grade. He remained one of Elvis' true best friends through the rest of his life, and Elvis even stood up as his best man at his wedding. We had a common friend in the late Jimi Jamison, so I introduced myself to GK at the Sirius satellite studio for Elvis Radio located at the Graceland visitors' center and we shared some stories about our friend. He then agreed to pose for a photo with his co-host, Big Jim McKay.
