Restored Canal Channel

This is, I believe, just outside of Channahon, IL. The canal here has been restored to look pretty much as it did back when it was in operation. The water level is at normal levels, and the bank along the towpath has been kept clear of trees and overgrowth. This shot was at the end of a very long day of hiking - the sun had just set behind the trees, and the reflection on the surface of the Canal was just peaceful. iPhone 4s
