Dry Canal Bed, Ottawa

Looking downstream from Lock 10. The canal bed is almost as wide here as it originally was, but shallower and the original "prism," or profile, has filled in and rounded out. Back in the day, there would have been six feet of water here. Olympus E-1, Zuiko 14-54mm
