Lahna

Sam Phillips' legendary Sun Studio is still in operation as a recording studio. However, during the day, it's open to tourists for tours. The tour I was on was led by this delightful young lady, named Lahna. She had great energy and a very bubbly personality. I told her that she obviously enjoys her job and it comes through in her presentation. This shot is in the front office, where Sam's secretary, Marion Keisker, sat (she really ran things). It was in this very room that a young truck driver from Tupelo, MS walked in and plunked down his $3.98 to record his first record ever. It took a while for things to gel with Elvis and Phillips, but one day the magic happened and the rocket took off. Olympus E-M5, Panasonic 20/1.7
