Chapel of The Resurrection

The Chapel Of the Resurrection serves Valparaiso University's student body as well as some "townies" who enjoy coming there for church. It also houses the mighty Fred and Ella Reddel Memorial Organ, a massive instrument with over 5,000 pipes that was dedicated in 1959, rebuilt in 1995 to include 3,000 pipes that were specified but omitted from the orignal build along with a new console that has MIDI recording capability so a student can play a piece, then go sit down in the sanctuary and listen back to an exact reproduction of their performance. It again went through a thorough cleaning and restoration in 2012. As a teaching instrument, it ages significantly faster than the calendar suggests. Loved the lighting with the storm clouds behind it. Olympus E-M5, d. Zuiko 12-50mm
