The concert I photographed was the 80th birthday celebration for this man, Sir Mack Rice, one of the original Stax artists and songwriters. Among his sizeable body of work are the two iconic soul songs, "Mustang Sally" and "Respect Yourself." As a huge fan of Motown/Stax and Memphis soul music, the chance to actually meet several of the people who wrote these wonderful songs was a thrill and an honor. Olympus E-M5, Panasonic 20/1.7
