WWII Air Force

Every year, the Collings Foundation brings an assortment of old warbirds, usually including their B-17 and B-24, to the Porter County airport because the founder, Bob Collings, is a Valpo High School alum. I went out this year with the intent to ignore the planes for the most part, and to focus on the veterans who were the real story. I missed getting this gentleman's name, but he was there with his wife to recount stories for those interested in the history.
