My Weekend Desk
On weekends, I'm on the sound crew at the Blue Chip Casino in Michigan City, IN.
In Rocks, the club I mix, our mixing console is a Yamaha LS-9 digital. From an artistic point of view, not nearly as sexy as an analog console with rows and rows of colored knobs. But it gets the job done and is pretty powerful. And I can save an almost unlimited number of mix snapshots on a USB flash drive, which means the next time a band plays, I load their preset and I'm 90% of the way to done.
Olympus E-M5, Zuiko 12-50mm, available light which is a mix of incandescent and LED stage lighting, with a touch of fluorescent from the laptop screen off-camera to my right. Oh, yeah? Take THAT, Lightroom ACR developer....
