Mother/Daughter Bedtime

As I was going upstairs to grab the E-M5 and offload the weekend's photos, I noticed that Serena and Parker were all snuggled in for bedtime. I quietly removed the lenscap and shot this, with only the one floor lamp behind me for light. Fortunately, they're used to Dad's annoying camera and didn't get up and walk away. Serena, left, adopted us amost two years ago. She neglected to tell us that she was pregnant until the morning I woke up and found her in the back corner of my closet, curled up in a dirty sweatshirt, with two squirming lumps of fur that hadn't been there the night before. Since there were only two, we decided to keep the family together, and they seem to appreciate it. Parker and Griff get along like brothers and sisters do, and they all still love to cuddle with Serena, who will still occasionally give them a bath. Olympus E-M5, Panasonic 20/1.7
