Pegasus Bridge and Café Gondrée, scene of the first action of 6 June 1944: Troops were landed in small fields between canal and river to take and hold this bridge (this is a later copy). The Café was there then, and the daughter of the then proprietor runs it today, partly as a small museum dedicated to the bravery and achievement of that part of D-Day.
