Converting-to-BW1
Sample E-1 image being converted to B&W in Lightroom 5.5. This is a "proof of concept" example. Specific steps of note, which can be duplicated in any editor. I adjusted the White-balance to slightly the cool side of normal daylight. This better matches the blue-sensitivity of B&W film. Secondly, contrast is stretched a bit. B&W images basically need SOMETHING in the image that goes to white and black. You don't need it to overdo it, but as a B&W image is an "abstract image" you need to define the outer points of exposure relationship somewhere within the image. Thirdly, I backed off the cyan and blue colors. That is what darkened the sky as the sky is a combination of blue and cyan.
