Over the last 2 - 3 days we have had an endless succession of weather squalls from the (cold) south (on the right of the image below), and they disappear to the NE (to the left). On my way back from the pub with fish and chips for the fambly, I noticed a great cloud display following the current pattern. So I raced inside and picked up the camera to record it from a nearby street corner. I decided I'd try the new panorama stitching program I recently acquired, ICE, from Microsoft. Of course, nothing stays the same and the vista had lost most of the magical qualities that brought me back, but I had a go anyway.
I took 4 shots, hand held, with my Olympus OM-D M-5, with the standard 12 - 50 mm lens set at 12 mm.
ICE turned out to be a breeze to use. Knitted the shots together and provided a means to crop out the bird's eye effect that showed. The file is a little large by my standards, 10 MB.
I edited it in FastStone Image Viewer, ( including sharpening it USM20 but nothing else) my ace photo processing program, and to produce an image for this screen I took a screen grab using Irfanview, another ace program I have.
Here's the result; don't know what facebook will do to it.
