Steve Dahl
Steve Dahl is a broadcasting legend in Chicago. Dahl was a pioneer of "personality talk radio" in the late '70's, before Howard Stern and the like.
He achieved national notoriety in 1979 when he hosted "Disco Demolition" night at Comiskey Park in Chicago. A radio stunt that got completely out of control, the fans stormed the field in between games of a double-header and caused the White Sox to forfeit the second game. But he had managed to bring more people to the ball park that day than the Sox had all year...
He's no longer on broadcast radio on a regular basis, but now puts out a daily podcast version of his radio show.
Here he's appearing as a guest on Roe Conn and Richard Roeper's afternoon show on WLS-AM radio in Chicago, during a remote broadcast to raise money and collect toys for the Marines' Toys For Tots drive.
