Friendly But Aggressive
There's a tradition in Japanese car designers to make the faces of their cars look like actual faces - often as a tribute to a popular sumo wrestler or a character from Japanese mythology or lore.
This is the nose of my 2001 Impreza 2.5RS. You can see the eagle-shaped "eyes" and the nose and mouth. This is by far the best-looking Impreza design in Subaru history, and it really saddens me to see my favorite car turned into just another generic-looking sedan. I guess I should think of it as more of a stealth thing - as long as the WRX still has the peformance and handling, the fact that it now looks like any old soccer-mom Nissan means that I'm not going to draw as much attention on the road...
