Tribute To Willie
This painting is on the front of Royal Studio in Memphis. Mitchell owned the studio from the 1960's until his death in 2010. It is currently run by his son, Lawrence "Boo" Mitchell.
Royal is where soul artist Al Green recorded most of his albums. It's still in demand as one of the classic Memphis Soul studios. The painting represents Willie with a number of the classic artists along the sides. Converted from an abandoned movie theatre in 1956, it is one of the world's oldest continuously-operating recording studios. It's dark, it's funky, and there is an undeniable "vibe" when you're there.
