Sun Pillar and ice filled field. Olympus E-1, Digital Zuiko 14-54 Zoom. Converted in Raw Therapee
This photo was taken a week ago Saturday just across the Iowa River from Tama, Iowa. The sunset sky was reflecting in the ice covered field. You can just see the sun pillar--sun reflecting off of plate-shaped ice crystals in the atmosphere. The wind was blowing 25 MPH with justs of 35-40 MPH when I took this picture from inside the Jeep. Exposure was F8 at 1/20 second, handheld. Write Comment (1 comments) |

Auto Racing is something that requires the latest in cameras and lenses with ultrafast auto-focus and image-stabilization. Or does it? Over the next couple of weeks I will be writing a series of articles addressing this concern as well as suggesting practical ways to achieve excellent results with equipment of any type.

We had a nice bit of warming over the weekend. It was a good opportunity to go photograph with Corey. The sun was setting and the moon rising, but a cloud layer moved in. Mid-Winter Melt, Olympus E-1, Zuiko 14-54 with Polarizer, F9, 1/4, ISO 100 Write Comment (0 comments) |
