Unemployed Maytag Repairman Statue

Newton, Iowa was home to the famed Maytag Corporation which was sold to Whirlpool several years ago. This bronze statue of the "Maytag Repairman" is, unfortunately, all that remains from that long-running advertising campaign. Yes, he was terminated too. The dog's name was "Newton".
