Overwhelmed

One Woman's Journey with Breast Cancer

"You have cancer." No one wants to hear those three words. Especially not twice. To say Karen Norton was 'Overwhelmed' when she first heard she had breast cancer is an understatement. As a wife, a mom to two young girls, and a part-time music pastor supporting her family, she already had enough on her plate. But then came those three ominous words.

'Overwhelmed' is a journey of one woman's life of health issues that seemed would never end. Would her world ever be the same again? Would she survive? Could she ever be the person God wanted her to be in this life? Would she continue to struggle with health issues and the emotions related to the changes? Would she understand why God tested her with health issues?

Panasonic DMC-L1 - A Digital Classic
Written by Ken Norton

It isn't very often that a camera system comes along that supercedes technical specifications. In this age of "melted blobs" all looking the same with the name-tag being the only significant difference, a classic-shape camera will stand out among the rest. But the question is whether being different is enough or will other design flaws cause it to be nothing more than a foot-note in photographic equipment history. Eyeing a modern classic - Panasonic L1 Does Landscape

My recent acquisition, the Panasonic L1, has continued to impress me. Although it is weak in overall pixel count, as compared to the latest/greatest wonderbrick, it is not weak in overall performance or handling. The Leica 14-50 lens is such an integral part of the handling of this camera, yet is such an impressive optic as to almost be considered a must-have for any FourThirds system.

The Panasonic L1 and Leica/Panasonic 14-50 F2.8-3.5 lens is a very decent performer. A full review of this camera and lens will be forthcoming, but consider the following photograph.

Leica 14-50 Zoom
Written by Andrew Fildes

With Panasonic's second DSLR, the Lumix DMC-L10, comes Leica's 'budget' 14-50mm standard zoom lens. If price alone is the yardstick, it is surprisingly affordable given the gravity of the illustrious Leica nameplate, but does it perform to expectation? Andrew Fildes had a play with it for some time and has this to say...Write Comment (0 comments)
